Seminars and Meetings
Wednesday Night Meetings & Location
This is an evening when club members
gather to carve, socialize, stimulate interest, provide encouragement and share
their skills. Club projects are also done at this time. (See below) Evening
meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, (except July and
August) Time 6:30 pm to 9pm, at the Yale High School Wood Shop.
Experienced members have the use of all the shop power tools, others can use
them with assistance.
Location, Yale High School, corner of McMillan and Old Yale Rd. Abbotsford,
B.C.. In the school Woodwork Shop.
Saturday Morning Meeting;
This is basically our business meeting.
Members are encouraged to bring a piece of work for the show and tell. There may
be a guest speaker talking about or demonstrating some aspect of woodcarving.
These meetings are held on the
1st Saturday of each month with the exception of July and August.
Time: 10am till noon.
Location: Abbotsford Seniors Association Building located at 2631 Cyril St.
Abbotsford, B.C.
Workshops & Seminars
Workshops are held on a variety of topics at different times through-out the
carving season on weekends and/or at Wednesday night meetings.
Instructors are experienced carvers from the area and on some occasions members
of the club, who have expertise that they are willing to pass on to others. Most
recently Tom facilitated the relief carving of a sailing ship.
